It was a beautiful day on the high seas. The wind was blowing softly, the waves were calm and Dolphins were happily jumping in and out of the water. A ship was sailing on the water. It belonged to a royal family that was well known throughout the world. On the Ship was the Prince and only child of this particular family. His name was Jayko. He was a handsome young man of twenty-five years, with brown hair, blue eyes and he wore black boots, blue trousers, a white shirt and a red jacket with golden lining.
Jayko stood at the front of the ship looking out to sea. Even though he was a prince and had everything he wanted, he was still depressed. He had reached the age where he must marry in order to inherit his throne. Unfortunately none of the Princesses he met so far were in his opinion suitable for him.
One of the Guards on board the ship walked up to the prince and said, "Is something wrong your Highness?"
"What makes you think something's wrong?" Asked the Prince, as he continued to look out to sea.
"You seem depressed sir." Replied the Guard.
Jayko just sighed as he lowered his head.
"You're still unhappy about choosing a bride aren't you?" Asked the Guard.
"I am." Replied Jayko, "Each Princess was worse than the last. But the most Recent one was the most stuck up of all."
"I see." Said the Guard, "It is really hard to choose a bride. Your father had the same trouble."
"True but he wasn't as picky as me." Said Jayko.
He then turned to face the guard and said, "How many princesses have I rejected?"
The Guard thought for a moment before answering the Prince's question saying, "Counting the most recent one, thirty."
"I see." Said Jayko, "How many did my father reject before he met my mother?"
"Before marrying your mother he rejected fifteen, sir." Replied the Guard.
"Has any other Prince in my family rejected as many girls as I have?" Asked Jayko.
"Actually sir, your great-great-great-great-great grandfather held the record for rejecting the most girls at twenty-five." Replied the Guard.
"I see, so I just beat his record?" Asked Jayko.
"Yes sir." Replied the Guard.
Jayko didn't say a word as he looked back at the sea.
"Sir I must say your parents are starting to get worried." Said the Guard, "If you don't find a suitable girl soon, the whole kingdom will be torn by war."
"To be honest, I'm tired of this royal life." Said Jayko.
The Guard was surprised to hear this.
"You can't be serious sir?" Asked the Guard.
"I am." Said Jayko turning to face the guard again, "Every day it's the same thing. I have to do all sorts of boring stuff like attend parties and banquets, make speeches, ride around in the royal carriage and wave at the people. And while eating I have to do it right or it will start a war."
"Anything else sir?" Asked the Guard.
"Yes, my parents never let me do a thing for myself." Replied Jayko, "The servants wash me, clothe me, prepare my bath and food and everywhere I go, I've got Guards escorting me. It drives me crazy."
"Oh I see." Said the Guard, "Anything else you want to talk about?"
"No I just want to be alone at the moment." Replied Jayko, as he turned to look at the sea again.
"Very well sir." Said the Guard, as he saluted the prince before returning to his post.
After the Guard left, Jayko looked down at the water to see the lovely dolphins swimming besides the ship.
"How I wish I could be free like those dolphins." Jayko thought to himself, "Just do what I want, go where ever I please. No rules, no servants and no guards."
Little did Jayko and the ship's crew know, that at this very moment they were being pursued by pirates. The ship was black in colour with a mermaid carved under the yardarm, and it had black sails with a picture of a purple cobra on them. There were even purple cobras on the sides of the ship. The ship was called the Purple Siren, the personal Ship of Circe the Pirate Queen. The entire crew was ready to board the ship. Some of the pirates were preparing the cannons, while the others, with muskets and swords in hand, were awaiting orders from their queen.
At that moment, Circe the Pirate Queen came out of her cabin. She was the same age as Jayko, she had purple hair and eyes, big breasts, and she wore black trousers, a brown belt which held a silver handled sword, a white shirt a purple hat with a black feather purple knee high boots and a purple jacket with black linings. She was also accompanied by her pet black King Cobra she called Black Hood, who was riding on her shoulder.
"Alright you bilge rats listen up." Circe Called out once she was in front of her crew, "Our plan is to capture Prince Jayko and hold him for ransom. If anyone gets in your way, kill them."
"Aye Captain!" Said the pirates in agreement.
"But remember, I only want five survivors." Circe continued, "The captain, the first mate and three soldiers. That way we can have our message delivered to the king and queen."
"Aye Captain!" The pirates said again.
"Diego! Samson! Step forward." Circe called out.
A second later, two pirates stepped forth from the crowd. The one called Samson was a big, bald muscular man with dark skin, bare upper torso, grey trousers, black boots, golden wrist bands and an 'X' shaped scar on his chest. The one called Diego was a well-built Caucasian man in his thirties who had white hair, an eye patch over his left eye, a burgundy shirt, black trousers, two swords on his back and no shoes.
"Yes Captain?" Asked Diego and Samson once they were in front of Circe.
"I'm entrusting you two with the task of capturing the Prince." Replied Circe, "Remember I want him alive and unharmed. And if anyone gets in your way, show no mercy."
"We shall not fail you Captain." Said Diego.
"Good, now then," Started Circe, as she took her sword out of its scabbard and raised it to the sky, "Prepare to board the ship."
"Argh!" Said the other Pirates as they got ready for action.
Back on the prince's ship, everyone was merrily going about their business, when suddenly they heard the man in the crow's nest shouting "Pirate Ship Ahoy Captain!"
"Where away?" The Captain shouted back. The captain of the ship was a man in his fifties with a grey beard and he was wearing blue uniform with black trousers and boots.
"Coming at us from the stern!" Replied the man in the crow's nest.
The Captain and his first mate, Mr Daniels (who wore the same uniform as the captain), quickly ran to the back of the ship. Once they got there, the Captain pulled out his spy glass to see which Pirate ship was tailing them. He wasn't at all happy with what he saw.
"A ship with Black sails that have a purple cobra on them!" Said the captain, as he lowered his Spy Glass, "It be the Purple Siren, the ship of the dreaded Pirate Queen herself."
The Captain then quickly turned to Mr Daniels and said, "Mr Daniels, Give out the order all hands on deck, and have Prince Jayko taken to his quarters for safety."
"Aye, aye Captain." Replied Mr Daniels as he got out his whistle and started blowing it.
Everyone, including Jayko, looked in the direction of Mr Daniels as he continued to blow his whistle.
"All hands on Deck." Shouted Mr Daniels, as he ran around the ship giving orders, "Pirate Ship off the stern, prepare to be boarded. Get the Prince to safety."
"You heard him." Said Maximus, the guard who was talking to Jayko earlier. In no time at all Maximus and six other guards ran straight to Jayko in order to escort him to his Quarters.
"What's going on?" Asked Jayko, as the guards approached him.
"We're taking you to your quarters for safety your highness." Replied Maximus.
"Why bother?" Asked Jayko, "It's just a bunch of Pirates you know I can handle myself."
"You don't understand Prince Jayko." Replied Mr Daniels, as he stopped in his tracks, "This ship is the feared Purple Siren. The personal of ship of Circe the Pirate Queen. The Pirates under her command fight like demons. And I'm guessing it's you they're after."
"Now do you see why we have to get you to safety?" Asked Maximus.
"Very well." Said Jayko, "I'll go to my quarters and stay there until this blows over."
"Very good Majesty." Said Mr Daniels as he went back to ordering the crew.
Before another word was said, Jayko went straight to his quarters accompanied by Maximus and the other six guards while the other guards on board were getting ready to defend the ship with the crew. A few minutes later, Jayko and the guards arrived at his quarters.
Once in front of the door, Maximus opened the door so the Prince could enter.
"Now remember sire, Stay here until it's safe." Said Maximus, once the door was opened.
"Understood." Said Jayko as he entered his quarters.
Once Jayko was inside, Maximus turned to the other six guards, pointing to three of them saying, "You three, go in there and protect the Prince with your lives in case any Pirates get past the rest of us outside."
"Yes sir." Said the three guards, as they entered the Prince's quarters.
Once they were in, Maximus closed the door and locked it. He then turned to the other three guards.
"The rest of you guard the door." Said Maximus, as he put the key in his pocket, "Make sure none of those scoundrels enter this room."
"Yes sir." Said the remaining guards.
And with that, the three guards walked up to the door and then turned around to face Maximus, standing attention in the process.
"Very good." Said Maximus, "In the meantime, I'll be helping defend the ship from the invaders."
"Yes sir." Replied the Guards.
And so, with Jayko safely in his room, Maximus went out to join the crew and the rest of the guards. By the time he got back on deck, the Purple Siren was coming really close to the ship.
Back on the Purple Siren, the Pirates were all set to board.
"The cannons are loaded, and the crew is awaiting your orders Captain." Said Diego, once the two ships were right next to each other.
Circe simply raised her sword and said "Fire!"
After hearing the command, the pirates stationed at the cannons fired. Instead of shooting cannon balls, the cannons fired grappling hooks. The crew and the guards on the Prince's ship quickly backed away as the grappling hooks descended from the sky. Once the grappling hooks hit the deck, they were pulled back until they hit the side of the ship.
"Get ready men." Said the Captain, as he brought out his sword, "We can't let then get the prince.
In no time at all, the Pirates were walking along the ropes connected to the grappling hooks toward the ship like monkeys on a vine. As soon as Circe's bloodthirsty crew was on board the ship, they immediately started fighting the crew and the guards. Maximus, Mr Daniels and the Captain were putting up a good fight against these deadly foes. As was the rest of the guards and crew.
As the Pirates kept Maximus and the others busy, Diego and Samson wasted no time in heading towards Jayko's quarters.
"HEHEHE, what fools." Diego whispered to Samson, as they got inside the ship, "While they're occupied fighting our comrades, we sneak in and get the prince."
"Yeah, this is going to be easy." Said Samson, as he cracked his knuckles "But I hope they left some guards to protect the Prince. I can use some excitement."
"Don't worry big guy." Replied Diego, "I'm pretty sure they wouldn't leave the Prince unguarded."
"Oh Goody." Said Samson with an evil smile.
And so, the deadly duo headed straight for where Jayko was being guarded. Back Jayko's quarters, three guards were patiently standing in front of the door when they saw the two Pirates heading towards them.
"Halt, you can go no further." Said one of the Guards, as he and his companions took their swords out of they’re scabbards.
"Only three guarding the door?" Asked Diego sarcastically, as he brought out his own swords, "Ha, Child's play. I'll handle these guys."
"OK, so long as I get the next ones." Said Samson, crossing his arms.
"It's a deal." Said Diego, as he prepared to charge.
The guards readied themselves for an attack. In a split second, Diego charged right at them. The guards stood their ground as the one-eyed swordsman got closer. Once he was close enough, Diego started slashing at the guards with lightning speed. A second later Diego stood upright, as he put his swords back in their scabbards. The guards didn't say a word. Just then, the blades of their swords fell to pieces. After that, the guards let out groans of pain as the fell to the floor. Diego poked one them with his foot to see if they were still alive.
"Yep, they're dead." Said Diego, as he turned to his muscular partner, "Ok Samson, take it from here."
"Finally, I was getting bored out of my skull." Said Samson, as he lowered his arms and walked towards the door.
On the way, he pushed aside the dead guards. Once in front of the door, the Strong Pirate reared back his right fist and got ready to punch the door down. Inside the room, Jayko was sitting on a chair with the other three guards Maximus assigned to protect him. Suddenly WHAM! The door flew right off its hinges, narrowly missing Jayko and the guards before hitting the wall next to them. As the looked in the direction the door came from, they saw two very mean looking men standing in the doorway.
"Knock, Knock." Said Samson, jokingly as he entered the room.
"Mind if we come in?' Asked Diego, as he followed his friend.
"Protect the Prince!" Ordered one of the guards, as he got out his sword. The other two guards did the same thing and prepared to face the intruders.
"Come on boys, take your best shot." Taunted Samson.
The three guards quickly charged at the hulking pirate. As they got closer, they raised their swords and got ready to strike. Once they were close enough, they brought their swords down on Samson, only to have them brake in half as soon as they hit his rock hard body.
"HAHAHA! What was that supposed to be, a tickle torture?" Asked Samson, who was obviously unfazed by the attack.
The guards stood there in shock as they dropped their now broken swords. They had never faced anyone like this before. Jayko was just as stunned as guards when he saw what happened.
"Now then," Said Samson, as he cracked his neck, "My turn."
The guards quickly backed away from the giant. Before another word could be said, Samson picked up a table and charged right at the guards with the table's legs facing towards them. The guards had no time to react as Samson slammed the table right into them. Jayko watched in surprise and fear, as the strong pirate smacked the guards and the table right into the wall killing them in an instant. The guards heads, arms and legs fell after the collision.
Samson then backed away from his handy work and said while dusting of his hands, "I lose more playmates that way."
"Now that those weaklings are disposed of let's get down to business." Said Diego, as he walked up to the Prince.
"OK, you found me." Said Jayko, as he raised his hands in surrender as he got out of his chair, "I'll go quietly, just don't hurt me."
"A wise decision lad." Said Samson, as he walked to Diego and Jayko, "You saved both yourself and us a lot of trouble in surrendering."
"After seeing what you did to those guards," Said Jayko, slightly turning his head to look at the big brute, "I don't think I have much choice in the matter."
"Now then, let's be off mates." Said Diego as he turned to walk out the door.
Jayko quickly turned his head forward as he and Samson followed Diego out of the room. As they walked out, Jayko looked down at the floor to see the other three guard assigned to guard him lying dead as doornails on the floor.
He then turned to look at Diego and said, "That's your handy work I'm guessing."
Diego looked back at the Prince with an evil smirk and answered, "Guilty as charged."
"Just be glad the Pirate Queen wants you alive." Said Samson, as he walked right up to Jayko, "Otherwise you'd end up like your friends."
Once they got outside, Jayko was shocked to see the deck covered with the bodies of dead guards and sailors. When he looked to his right, he saw only five survivors: The Captain of the ship, First Mate Mr Daniels, Maximus and two other guards. The Pirates were forcing them into a life boat. Jayko was even more surprised to see that none of the Pirates had a scratch on them.
"I see your Pirate Queen has trained her crew well." Said Jayko, looking at Diego.
"Indeed she has." Replied Diego, as he lifted his left arm and pointed a finger to Jayko's left, "In fact here she comes now."
When Jayko looked in the direction Diego was pointing, he saw some Pirates on the Purple Siren placing a board between the two ships. Once the board was in place, Circe stepped on to the board and started to carefully and gracefully walk across it with her pet king cobra still on her shoulders. As she neared the end of the board, two other Pirates came and each one took one of her hands to help her down on to the deck. Once on the ship, Circe started to walk toward the men in the life boat. As she past Jayko, she shot him a brief glance. Black Hood just hissed at him, startling Jayko. After a short walk, Circe finally arrived at the life boat containing the five survivors.
"Why are you sparing our lives instead of taking them like you did the others?" Asked the Captain, looking angry.
"Because, I need someone to deliver a message to the King and Queen." Replied Circe, as she used her finger to rub Black Hood's chin.
"And what is the message?" Asked Mr Daniels.
Before answering the question, Circe put her hand in her jacket and took out a rolled up map. She then handed it to Maximus.
"Tell Jayko's parents that if they ever want to see their son alive again, they must bring five million gold pieces to the spot marked with an 'X' on the map in one week." Said Circe, as Maximus unrolled the map.
"Five Million Gold Pieces!?" Said one of the two guards in surprise.
"That's basically the entire royal treasury." Said the other guard.
"And tell them if they don't accept my demands, the Prince will suffer." Said Circe.
"Very well, we'll tell them." Said Maximus, as he rolled up the map.
"Excellent, now lower the life boat." Said Circe, before she turned around and started to walk back to the ship.
At her command, the pirates started to lower the life boat into the water. As she came up to Jayko, instead of just looking at him she stopped right in front of him. She saw that he still had his arms up in surrender.
"It's ok, you can put your arms down now." Said Circe.
"Thank you, my arms were getting tired." Said Jayko, as he lowered his arms.
"Bring him to the ship." Said Circe to Diego and Samson, before she continued walking back to her ship. Jayko and his two captors quickly followed.
Once Circe arrived at the board, the two Pirates from earlier took her hands again and helped her on to the board. Jayko, Diego and Samson followed her on to the board while some of the other Pirates got back to the ship along the ropes on the grappling hooks. Jayko made sure to be careful while walking along the board. Circe made it back onto her ship safely followed by her captive Jayko and Diego and Samson.
Back on the Prince's ship, the Pirates that had yet to join the others were still lowering the life boat that had the five survivors. In a few seconds, the life boat landed safely on the water. Once the boat was on the water, the pirates pulled the ropes back up and then headed back to the Purple Siren.
"Alright mates, let's shove off before they change their minds." Said the Captain, after the Pirates left.
"Aye Captain." Said the two guards, as they picked up the oars and used them to push the life boat away from the ship. A second later, they started rowing away as fast as they can.
Back on the Purple Siren, all the Pirates got back on board safely. A second later, they started to bring the board and grappling hooks away from the ship.
"OK Captain, we're disconnected from the ship." Said one of the Pirates, after the last grappling hook was taken off the Prince's ship.
After hearing the news, Circe turned to the Pirate at the steering wheel and said, "OK Put some distance between us and the Prince's ship."
"Aye Captain." Said the Pirate, as he turned the steering wheel.
A second later, The Purple Siren started to move away from the Prince's ship. In no time at all the two ships were a good distance apart. At the same time, the Pirates were loading cannon balls into the cannons.
"Cannons are loaded and ready to fire Captain." Said another Pirate, once the last cannon was fully loaded.
At that moment, Circe raised a hand and shouted, "Open Fire!"
Not wasting a moment, the Pirates started opening fire on the Prince's ship. The cannon balls moved at ferocious destructive speeds as the hit the ship, causing a lot of damage in the process. One cannon ball hit the room where the gunpowder was kept, causing a huge explosion and setting the whole ship on fire.
Luckily, Maximus and the others were a good distance away when the Pirates started firing the cannons. When they heard the explosion, they took a quick look to see the whole ship a blaze as it started to sink. Mr Daniels and the Captain sadly removed their hats after seeing the damage done to their ship.
"She was the best ship we sailed." Said the Captain, as a tear fell from his eye.
"Aright let's get out of here fast." Said Maximus.
"Yes sir." Said the other two guards, as they continued to row the life boat.
Back on the Purple Siren, Circe raised her hand again and said, "Alright, that's enough."
"Cease Fire!" Said the Pirate in charge of the cannons, after hearing Circe's command.
At that moment, the other Pirates stopped shooting off the cannons. Once they stopped, the Pirates watched with smirks on their faces as the Prince's ship started sinking to the bottom of ocean. Soon enough, Circe started to walk off. She then stopped in front of Jayko again.
"You sure are thorough in your work." Said Jayko, after seeing the damage done to the ship.
"Thank you." Said Circe, "Now then, you'll be treated as out guest during your time with us."
She then turned to Diego and Samson and said, "Take him to the guest room."
"Aye Captain." Said Diego and Samson in unison.
Circe then started walking towards the Pirate at the steering wheel.
"You're not going to put me in the brig like one of your prisoners?" Asked Jayko.
After hearing that, Circe stopped dead in her tracks. The other Pirates were silent as well. There was a moment of silence. Circe then turned around to face Jayko.
"Like I said, you'll be treated as our guest during your time with us." Said Circe, "So trust me you don't want to be in the brig. That's where we keep a lot of pigs and goats. As a result, it really smells down there so you're better off in the guest quarters."
"That's new." Said Jayko, turning to face Circe, " I was expecting the brig to be filled with rats."
"Actually, rats avoid this ship because they're afraid of becoming my pet cobra's next meal." Said Circe, as she turned around.
Black Hood simply hissed in agreement. Without saying another word, Circe continued walking towards the steering wheel.
"Alright mate, let's get going." Said Diego.
"Very Well." Replied Jayko.
And so, Diego and Samson started to escort Jayko to the guest quarters. In the meantime Circe arrived at the steering wheel just in time to see the life boat and its occupants rowing away.
She then turned to the Pirate at the steering wheel and said, "Alright, turn this ship around and head back to the hideout."
"Aye, aye Captain." Replied the Pirate, as he turned the steering wheel. And so the Purple Siren started to turn around and head back the way it came.
